Mine seem to love a never ending battle over dominance (three feeders). Oh well the battle is entertaining.

how ingenous, but please tell me how do you clean it?

Thanks, mjk!! It's fairly easy to clean. I usually do it at night - if I clean it during the day, I have a swarm of impatient hummers buzzing my head.

There's about 1/4 cup of pea gravel that stays in the pipe. I first flush it with a garden hose, fill it with vinegar until it comes out the ports, and let it soak for a few minutes; dump the vinegar, shake the pipe back and forth a few times to get the gravel to scrub the inside, then flush it well with the hose. The wine bottle is even easier - a bendable aquarium brush does the trick.

This is the pea gravel - basically very large grains of sand. The sharp edges are good at scrubbing...
