We are a friendly bunch here in Texas, so Yankees are welcome. You just need to learn to say y'all instead of you guys! HA! Actually during the celebration, we get people from all over the US.

Anyway, the Hummer/Bird Celebration is always held right around September 15 every year. So it looks like next year it will be September 13 thru 16. Mark your calendar and come and visit!

Anyone who loves hummingbirds will enjoy a festival revolving around the theme of hummingbirds. The only thing regrettable is lack of progressive thinking by planners in other states. They fail to see merit in creating the festivals, because they are too busy following computer models as they fight negative budgets. Hummingbirds are a resource in almost every region of our nation. If residents of every state were to capitalize upon the blessings they have, hummingbirds might help revitalize the same economy that people are complaining about.

A new book about hummingbirds and the flowers that attract them is about to be released, sometime in the latter part of May. You will find the blend of hummingbirds, flowers and the curiosity of children both unique and enchanting.
