there have been at least 3 adult male rubies hanging around the 2 feeders today. one distinctly scraggly one I've only seen once. the other 2 have each claimed a feeder. I saw what I believe to be a juvenile for the second time this season this morning. it hovered near the far feeder, and poked at the red ant trap, the red wire, the red bottle top, on down to the actual feeder ports. I looked at it through binoculars, and it was bright shiny green with an unblemished grey breast and no ruby throat.

I just saw the 4th dogfight of the day. one intense one resulted in a chase out of the yard, and after a few minutes, they were each back perching, one on each feeder, the one at the window panting heavily, his chest thumping.
