I miss my male juvie - I think I've got a female who's been chasing him off lately (she's dubbed the feeders her's now). He was so inquisitive - he'd fly up to the window where I would be sitting and just look at me and then fly off. I love juveniles!

thanks, folks. in cat's photo, I can see how that little spot on its throat is the beginning of that full ruby gorget. cool.
there is another one hanging around, too, smaller with a clean grey throat. just this morning I was thinking its beak looked huge, catwhiskas. these 2 chase each other and play and wait for each other to feed. I'll try to get some more pics of them.
I actually saw one of them on the hummzinger saucer feeder today. that was a 'first' this year.

here's the other one. thought I'd never get a pic, because an adult male 'owns' this feeder and divebombs this little one most every time.

now tilt your head up, so we can get a look at your throat.

Love your pictures. I have my hummzinger hung by my perky pet feeder. Once in a while they will use the hummzinger if the perky pet is taken.
