Sumala

Very creative trellis! Beautiful beans, what variety do you have? Do you use them as shell, green or both?
Nice collards too.
Do I see a banana in the back of the picture? Now I am getting jealous! LOL
Where in zone 9 you are? I am in Orlando and have a fruiting banana, hoping that survives the cold nights.

WOW! My jaw dropped and I called DH to come look at your pics. What a great idea. Those collards are amazing too. I love your pots buried in the ground and the bricks, what a neat garden!
I was wondering what beans those were too. We did our first beans and have rattlers and bush beans. I can't decide which I like better as plants/production/space.

Great looking produce you have there Sumala!
What are Dilly beans? A recipe or a type of bean.
Do you have fencing or twine tied on the swing set for your beans?

The beans are just plain ole Kentucky Wonders. I actually let some of them get a little more mature than I like to but my work schedule doesn't allow me to do much during the week.

That stalk of bananas should be ripe soon. I am in Port St. Lucie which I think is closer to a zone 10 rating than a 9 but according to the map a few years ago, I live in 9.

I grow bush and pole beans and I usually get much better production from the poles.

Dilly beans are pickled beans. Very good.

I have a 18 inch tall wire border around the bottom and clothes line ran from one side up across the top and down to the other side. The lines are spaced at about 8 inches apart and I planted 2 seeds every 8 inches on both sides.

That is one cool bean trellis, love your collards too. Great pictures!
