Looks like male juvenile ruby-throated hummer to me. The darker feathers at the side of his neck and under his chin appear to be just starting to darken. If I am correct, that means he was born nearby this year and would return to your area next year (assuming a safe round trip). An adult male would appear much darker in the neck area and in the right light, would display the ruby colored throat. Good picture and congratulations! That's a long time to wait.

Thanks so much Jane. I meant to type "unknown" hummer in the subject. This pic was actually taken at the NY Botanical Garden so hopefully I'll see him there next year.
