Well, keep those feeders topped up - I still have Ruby Throated and Rufous here but probably not for long!!!!!

I haven't seen any Rubys here for about a week. Maybe mine came to visit you?

I hung our feeders on Monday and spotted our first male ruby yesterday !!

Our hummingbirds, here in Nova Scotia, are really late leaving this year. Usually we don't see them past mid-August in my garden, but we're still seeing them into September - it's been very warm here, though, in August and September. Hopefully they'll be safely down your way soon.

We still have hummers hanging around here in the midwest. We aren't experiencing the same problems with drought as our neighbors in the SouthWest, but I plan keep my feeders out as long as I see birds. Same with fresh water.

you guys are so lucky! I am in Florida in zone 9b. I just hung up my first hummingbird feeder. So keeping my finger crossed!!! I also have plants thats supposedly to attract them as well. I have a butterfly garden.
