225 Pounds . . . and counting!

Last year we hit the 250 pound mark on August 13, so we're a little behind as we just hit 225 pounds on August 18. I really think at the rate we're going though that we just might be able to catch up to last years pace!

Just amazing Frank! Wonder how many more hummers have made it through migration because of your efforts, than might have otherwise without the extra nutrition at your pitstop!

Wow, Frank -If that isn't hummingbird heaven! Your photos are stunning -your numbers unimaginable if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes! This is coming from one newly graced and enthralled by just one...so far ;) -Do you remember your first? -Thank you for being so generous with your photos. I hope it's okay that I bookmarked your album -It will help overwinter me. : )

Flo I would also love to pay for even one third of the sugar that Frank uses...That is what I actually meant to say...that it breaks my heart that he gets to use that much sugar to feed all his young'ens. The rest of us can only dream.

As usual, your pics are inspiring! I only use about 2 cups of sugar a month for my one regular (I only make 4oz per refill), and the feeder doesn't get drained... although I'm guessing from 1 - 2 oz is consumed over a couple days. However now that I have at least a 2nd hummer (and possibly more), the level is going down quicker - with about 2oz and sometimes 3oz being consumed per refill. I guess that's a start! LOL

In my neck of the woods, the "revenue'rs" would be tracking you down and looking for a still...
Imagine their surprise when the only buzz they found came from some hummers!!

Jane: No idea . . . We found it at Lowe's in Tececula three or four years ago.
