Your scions are unlikely to root, they were meant to be used to graft onto appropriate rootstocks.

I've seen the 'Sorbopyrus' offered by a number of nurseries - OneGreenWorld, Mellingers, and others. My understanding, from seasoned orchardists is that they're mainly just a curiosity - not very productive, and the quality of the fruit is nothing to get excited about.

I found a page with a picture of the fruit. Looks interesting.

All the nurseries seem to carry is 'Shipova'. Has anybody seen any other X Sorbopyrus hybrids out there for sale? Not that I really feel the need to plant a vast array of sorbopyrus, just curious.
