They're all here now and I'm enjoying the heck out of them :-) I had to work all weekend, but the good news was that I could work at home, so I had my wireless laptop out on the deck where I could birdwatch and work. I swear I almost got run into a few times! And I heard them make contact with each other! I thought they'd just chase each other off, but they are playing tackle ball!

I'm lovin' it. Hope they stay all winter :-)

Thanks! These were a group of females who didn't mind each other *too* much, but they still did a lot of squawking at each other even when this pic was taken.

Overall "my" hummies actually did NOT do a lot of sharing, especially after the "bully" male arrived in early August...he would not let ANY other bird near. I ended up buying a 2nd feeder which was on the opposite end of the garden, and that one was defended by another male during August. Now that one gets very few visits.

Now I see only one or two at a time in my yard. They are still using this feeder daily and I plan to keep the food fresh for those migrating through. :)
