Patrick those are wonderful pics. The few times I cought my hummers at the cannas they didn't stay long they were too interested in the salvias.

Thanks Penny. My Anna's seem to like a varied diet. Earlier this guy was visiting the morning glory buds (what few are still there), the 8' mulleins & the butterfly bushes...yet I have a lot of salvias in bloom. He feeds on them frequently, but gets around to a lot of different flowers. He really likes to visit the flowers that are higher off the ground.

Patrick those are fantastic pictures! Thanks so much for sharing. Our hummers are few and far between in PA now...so sad so it is nice to still know others are enjoying them elsewhere.

Thanks, Charlotte....sounds like the RT's (and maybe others) start their winter migration kinda early. I wonder if the weather from Katrina had anything to do with it. Did you get stormy weather in your area, or was it more localized to the west and north of you?

Beautiful! I can't seem to catch the hummies on my cannas due to where they are. No matter which way I approach to see if they are there, they go the other direction! My dh says they just love them as he's seen them on them when he comes home at lunchtime. Thanks for sharing yours!!!
