1. What do you call these? Stick, stems, etc

1. What do you call the brown ball of flowers that stays on? a brown dead ball that stays on, blossoms, blooms, flower heads, etc

Suggestion: Remember to water them every now and then. Once a week or once every two weeks is fine. After all, the plants are dormant, not dead, right? If the temps will get really really coooold, bring the pots inside. I would start to worry with temps below the low/mid 20s.

I didn't realize that I should water it when it is dormant... ugh. i may have dead plants. we haven't had many days in the 20's... but some. i've left it outside for then... seems like its too late now to do anything. Just cross my fingers and hope.
