Steve, do you keep a calendar marking when your hummers arrive and leave? I began this in the spring when I had bluebirds nesting for the first time, and other nesters as well, recording when nestbuilding began, eggs laid, babies fledging, etc. My first hummer arrived on 3/22, a male RT. It's been so hot here, so it will be interesting to see how long these two will stick around. Last year, I think I saw my last hummer about this time...mid Oct.

Hi donnalovesblue--- Yes, actually I do keep track. Last year my first arrival 4-30 and this year was 4-27 and Im guessing by your arrival dates you must be a great deal south of me. We have to enjoy them while we have them.
