I think it is safe to sow them anytime now and balfouri should be fine till then. I would not be surprised to see them self sow for you next year.

Thanks for your reply. Is it alright to put them on the heat mat or in my un-heated greenhouse?

I sewed my impatiens in the un-heated greenhouse. All had sprouted in the baggies except the I.scabrida

I think they should be okay on the mat inside the un-heated greenhouse. They may grow quickly that way though. Give scabrida a chance sometimes they like to wait before sprouting.

I dumped the bags of the impatiens in 5.5" pots. The I. glanulifera are coming up like gangbusters and are at the beginning of their first true leaves. A bit crowded so I need to dibble them out to their own pots. I think I read they don't like root disturbance so would this be the best time to pot them up?
