Your impatients are beautiful! Every time I see your photos I am in awe, they look so healthy. I have a lot of shady areas in my yard and plan on trying the bag method for growing impatients this year. Can you tell me if you started your impatients from seed or did you purchase them as seedlings from your local gardening center.

I am interested in seeing if the New Guinea Impatients can also be grown this way.

I hope you don't mind my asking one more question, did you fill the entire bag with seedlings, i.e., every slot? I assume you use the bag that has the 10 slits in it.

I keep thinking that people will get sick of my pictures...

I started them all from seed. Last year I grew envoy white and the star/purple (which are pink) and Crimson tempo for imps. This year I'm doing salmon, white and red star... see how that goes.

I'm going to give the New Guinea Imps a whirl in the bag too - I bought seed, and they are germinating and 'popping' now:

I was told they're tougher to germinate, but they seem to be doing just fine... time will tell.

I did fill the bag with 10 plants (I did use the 10 holed bags).

I'm still looking to see if anyone has tried new guineas in a pouch...

I started my 'bags' and forgot to put one aside for the New Guineas. They're all regular imps! I'm such a dope! I'll have to use one from last year!
