Hi, I've bought impatiens from Home Depot for the past several years and I love their impatiens. As far as height, I have not experienced impatiens being particularly tall. My impatiens fill out really nicely but I've never had any that grew tall.

My impatiens also reseed themselves. I bought some impatiens this year and I really shouldn't have because the impatiens from last year have reseeded. I also have the same issue with the vincas I planted over the past two years. There are literally hundreds of "little vincas" growing in my flowerbed. Had I known they would come back so abundantly, I would never have bought anymore this year. Thus, I have absolutely no plans to purchase any vincas next year...I'll just wait for them to reseed.

But like every gardener, the flowers were sooo beautiful that I just couldn't resist buying them. After a long flowerless winter, who can resist purchasing beautiful flowers at the first sight of them : )
