Could be mold or frost damage that occurred to the plant where you bought it (this happened to a TON of H's this year). Frost got some of these when they first came off the truck, while mold got some of them while they were still on the truck.

At the least, looks like you'll get a partial bloom out of it...

Thanks for the info, a few others have partial damage it seems. This is it's first summer in the ground, so I'll take anything I can get!
