Wait till the pods swell before picking. Take a lunch sack out and pop them in. If they do not pop open close bag and shake, seeds are mature when brown. Now here is where I need help. Storage???? Should I dry the seeds and store in paper envelope dry? Should I store fresh in moist towelin pastic bag in Fridge? Or freezer?

Store them dry in the fridge not the freezer.

Mr. Impatiens - Will the seeds still germinate if the seeds are not stored dry in the fridge? I harvested some seeds last year and had just sow them. Am I wasting my time?

It all depends on which kind they are some have a very short shelf life. If its just the bedding type it should be fine. The Himalayian type like a cold spell. Impatiens balsamina has the longest shelf life that I know of, about two or three years. This allowed it cultivated by many people outside its native area.
