Spirit Lake is a few miles west of Estherville. There's a large nursery named Ferguson's. There are also other garden centers there, as many "lake people" have great ornamental gardens. (Of course, when I need a name, I can't think of it.) Go south from Spirit Lake to Spencer and you'll find Del's, which has a large plant selection. Both are interesting places to visit.

Go to FergusonÂs Landscape Center just outside of Spirit Lake on Hwy. 71, south of Walmart. They have great plants, altho they are kinda pricey. I think there's also another nursery on Hwy. 71 also, maybe it's Iowa Great Lakes Nursery? You can ask around. Anyway, it's worth driving around there just to see the lakes! It's just west of Estherville about 20 or so miles on Hwy. 9.
