Spring is the best time to put up yellowjacket traps to catch the queens before they build nests.

On a warm day a couple of weeks ago I saw these wasps flying out and about and have since found several dead while working around the gardens. Evidently the cold snap that followed the warm days was not good for the health of these gals.
