I have QF & VS is planted next to her, but VS is just in her 2nd season. However she has a very impressive red canes more red than any of my 9 other H paniculatas ~ w/c I love!

VS was a scraggly looking shrub when I got her April 2010 I had to give her quite a bit of support as the blossoms were heavy ~ young canes couldn't handle them well - she's growing much pettier this season ~ new canes more up right (no bloom buds yet) Only perhaps another year will tell! QF Is in her 5th season blossoms are loose & lace-like (at this point loaded w/ bloom buds the first to produce!)

Hope this helps!
