I've been doing image search on aphids. Don't find any this

What Jean said. The cowpea aphid, a pest of vetch and other legumes, is blue. If you can't ID it from the attached link then try a better description or send an image.

Hello, Im new to these forums so I hope im posting this in the correct place. Ive planted black eyed peas (cow peas)in my garden and noticed several are dead. I pulled the dead ones up and noticed a hole in the stem on everyone of them. Ive tried to find what kind of pest could be doing this so I could treat the problem but havent had any luck. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

You might have a 'scale' insect on the plants, which can be treated with any one of the oil-based soaps... Most scale insects don't migrate from one plant species to the next randomly, so I wouldn't see them as a 'property threat' Some scale have soft shells while others have a more rigid covering, and during egg hatch the cover lifts slightly and looks fuzzy...colors vary.
