Planting now vs. fall

What do you all think about planting a hydrangea now vs. in the fall? I have two spots that are crying out to me, and I don't know if I have the willpower to wait til September. If I make sure we don't have a heat wave in the forecast, will it be an OK time to plant?

If you can keep it watered I would plant now. In the fall I seem to lose more than those planted now IF you can keep it watered.
