It's spectacular- I love the color combinaton. I planted Starship Enterprise a few years back to get a similar color effect, but it never bloomed. I love the veining (is that what it's called?) on the falls. Many of my old-fashioned irises have this veining, and I have always loved it.

Usually if they are only up inside next to the beard they are called "HAFT MARKS". A lot fo the older Iris had them, then in the 60's or 70's, not sure when, the hybidizers tried to breed them out. Now it seems everyone likes them again and they are breeding them back in again.

I would love to see a clump of these heavily veined iris. So intriguing.

Renee ~ is Starship still alive? I have heard it's not a good increaser at all.

I think it may be alive, but it hasn't done anything. It's mixed in with Total Recall now, and its fan is about one-quarter the size of the other irises. No real increase at all. It can live here as long as it stays out of the way, I guess.

Thanks. Now I feel better they were out of it on my last order.
