Herbicide Horrors

Here are my first three blooms of 2008, all of which were affected by herbicide (I posted previously about this).

Here is my fear: I didn't even realize that two of these plants had even come into contact w/the herbicide at all.There was no leaf damage that I recall. Could they have ingested this from the ground? I don't know what chemical it was.

I am hopeful that the bloom will be normal again in 2009.

These *should have been* Epicenter, Candy Apple Classic, and Blue Jay Way.

I could see only Bluejay Way. It looks like Round-up damage to me. It will clear up by next year.

I also can only see Bluejay Way. Must be terrible to have something like this happen, after waiting a whole year to see them bloom.

Sorry, folks, I thought that I had all three posted. Not sure what I did wrong. Anyhow, here is Epicenter in another post (don't know how to add another pic to my reply here).

I'm just thrilled to know that they should be back to normal later. One really good bit of news, though, is that I don't believe any of the stuff was sprayed in the back bed and I just noticed a couple of new buds on irises I've never seen bloom back there. I'm hoping I am right b/c I really didn't notice damage on the foliage of the irises. Now the daylilies were just scorched, but the irises are apparently even tougher than I realized.
