Clump next to the neighbor's pasture fence. This is the only red I have but I really like it. Every year I like it more than I think I will.

I'm sooooo jealous of your baptisia/iris pictures. Last year I went on a "baptisia quest", looking everywhere for the alba. Finally found one for $18. with exactly 6 leaves and one stalk. I did (I have to admit) buy it due to desparation of not finding a larger one. I have several of the smoke and also large ones of the pale yellow baptisia. I was just at Lowe's and they have big, full 1 gallon pots of both the yellow and the smoke for $6.something. Your combination is exactly what I planted together. I have the Dusky Challenger and the alba together. Loved your pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Asturnut I ordered Samuai Warrior over 20 years ago when I was in high school and I'm glad I did. It's moved around with me ever since. Thank you very much Mona, for your kind words. Gmason, Dusky Challenger is one of my favorites too. It's a real stand-out. ncgardener, you got a good deal on those baptisia at Lowe's. I have taken to collecting baptisia seed and starting that. I have to wait 3 years for blooms but I can get a lot of plants that way.

    Alicia,
    The all look great!
I have Samurai Warrior from a trade that hopefully will bloom for the first time this year for me.
The noids from your DH's grandmother's garden are so pretty, lucky you. The only plants I've gotten from my DH's family are grape hyacinths, lol.

Thank you Remy. I love DH's grandmother's iris because they're beautiful and DH loves them because they remind him of his grandmother. I think you'll like Samurai Warrior.
