Paul Black seedlings

Here are some more unusual seedlings from Mid America.

Black O 142A

I thought the standards on this one are unusual and attractive.

Black O 11H

It is the falls on this one I liked. The little brown picotee on the falls and even shows up on the style arms.

Black O 11J

A sibling to O 11H above. The standards add another splash of interest to this one beyond the brown picotee on the falls.

Black O 177A

I found the standards on this one interesting.

Black O 51A B

I liked the combination of colors on this one.

These were from the reselect row. I am not sure of the status on any of them. They have a system of colored tags indicating whether they will be kept for further crosses, trying to improve some trait; or kept for introduction. I don't often take a picture of the flag to recall their status. Some of these may become compost. This is what tempts me the most about becoming a hybridizer is the desire to see what cross would work on certain seedlings.
