white iris with embossed border

i would like more information on this iris - i found this growing in my grandmother's yard - it was under a shrub and was only eight inches tall - i moved to better location - and after a few years it has bloomed - the embossed border seems a bit unusual - how common is this border

thanks

I have seen that embossed edge before, but can't remember what variety it was on. Not to my taste personally, but certainly an interesting feature.
