This maybe a dumb question, buuuuut....

Is there anyway to propagated an iris? I asked a similar question about hyacinths. Little "babies" grow from the parent bulb, which can be separated (when the baby has grown large enough) & planted for another hyacinth. This got me wondering about my irises. I have 6 different varieties of bearded iris.

Yes, they will grow baby rhizomes from the original mother rhizome. People often divide them in August. The mother rhizome will not bloom again, but the babies will all bloom the next year.
