three mystery hydrangeas

Hi,

My friend with the yard-full of hydrangeas has three more that need identification - if anybody here wants to venture some guesses?

Plant 1:

Guessing this is a macrophylla? If so, no idea on the variety.

Plant 2:

This is a pretty sad photo, unfortunately. Might have her try again on a less wet & humid day. Vaguely wondering whether this might be a lacecap (macrophylla normalis) ??

Plant 3 (two photos):

Another bad photo - but we know this is an oakleaf (obviously), just no experience to tell which one. Anybody have advice on how to tell?

Thank you!!!

Jenny

Plant 1: Don't really know, but there aren't too many pink/blue ones with frilled petals.
Plant 2: Could be a mophead, and looks white. Likely Endless Summer Blushing Bride or Mme. Emile Mouillere.
Plant 3: This is a mophead oakleaf, of which there aren't too many. Could be Vaughn's Lillie or Harmony.
Plant 4: Behind the oakleaf looks like there is a hydrangea paniculata, kind of looks like Snow Mountain (that's what mine looks like right now).

You might want to post back in a month when the blooms have filled out. It's kind of too early to tell right now.

My Endless Summer looks just like your first one. My plant is still a baby. See the young flower on the right? Looks just like it. When I got it from HD last year, the tag said Endless Summer.

Thanks, Springwood Gardens & Joopster! This information is great. I passed the info on to my friend. She wants the info for an upcoming garden walk.
