Iris newbie

Hi - I'm the lucky recipient of rescued irises. An kind lady in online garden group in my area posted free irises that her neighbor just ripped out. I've taken her up on the offer, but I'm not familiar with them. So, any suggestions for direction would be most welcome.

TIA

Tina

Tina,
Congratulations on the gift of irises! My best advice is don't plant them too deep, leave the rhisome (the part in the center) uncovered. They do better in a raised bed or on a slope.

Enjoy!

Tina,

You can find a lot of useful info in the FAQs (link at top of forum page).

Happy irising,
