SImply beautiful!! I envy you for all the big trees and shrubs... I guess the garden/property is quite old?? Many trees are big, compared to my 2 year old thingies... ;) Big trees really help in creating a nice atmosphere!

You have a very nice garden. If I may offer my 2 cents ideas:

A Japanese Garden I admire in book or real life often have a more trimmed/neat or "bonsai" look. I know that you migth not have enough the time to up keeping all these plants. In my semi-Japanese garden I try to use plants that maintain their shape well like hebes, bird-nest spruce, mugo pine, agapanthus peterpan,...etc, also any plant that has small leaves and slow growing. I admit that as an avid gardener, it is dificult to resist new plants that you see. Also, often the lay out of japanese garden is not neccesary random/"nature walk". There seems to be orgarnised, well shaped patterns that are well balanced together. I don't know the whole the layout of your garden to have my opinion about it though.
