I do not have them but I remember that QF blooms about a month earlier than PD. So the one that bloomed first would be QF.

If one bush were to have white blooms now and the other has "white blooms that turned pink" recently, the white one would be PD and the pink one would be QF.

If it were light out, I'd go check my Pink Diamond, but that's what I'd guess it is. The fertile flowers on Quick Fire look different (at least on mine) and the infertile flowers seem to stand up more on Quick Fire.

The fertile flowers of QF are more white and open than on PD.

One more picture from more of a distance which may be a better overall comparison. Btw, bees and butterflies seem to LOVE Quick Fire much more than any other hydrangea I have. That's another way to tell QF and PD apart.

And of course, as Luis already mentioned, QF blooms much earlier.

Thanks Ruth and Luis. This one bloomed first and has turned pink, whereas the other one is just now turning pinkish. They are in different lighting conditions, so I wonder if that matters. This one that turned pink first gets more shade. The other one gets full sun most of the afternoon, and is just showing a tinge of pink. Both I think were bought from Bluestone perennials the same year.

That's quickfire. I have both. My pink diamond is just now opening and my Quickfires are just starting to turn pink. I'm in zone 6. That can't be your pink diamond. And the blooms look very different. The pink diamond has more of a cone of pointy shape. That's a Quickfire for sure :)

Oh my bad. I thought I saw you are in zone 5. I see you are in 7 ahead of me!! I still think its a quickfire but I was going by the color changes and thinking you are in a zone colder. Sorry!!! I shouldn't read/respond from my phone. The print is too tiny.

My QF is already "hot peach", almost red... That said, largest blooms on thickest new wood hold white color the longest...
