Hi - I'm thinking to plant irises in spots at the bottom of my garden that varies from waterlogged in the rainy season to reasonably dry in the summer. dappled sun and marine Bay Area climate. not planning to irrigate at all. looking through specs of plants, the versicolor blue flag looks like a good choice - any comments?

also - are these better germinated from seed or planted from rhizome - and is there a good internet mail-order (or local Bay Area) source of either?
