creator(s) and all YOU Hydroponicians (is that a word ?) for this great site.

I would ask your kindness about your opinion regarding the "pits/stones" you pull out from the dattes (fruit from the palm-tree), I live near a factory that makes the "datte past" and "datte syrup" from the fruit(dattes) and the "pits/stones" are simply thrown away as trash because none knows what to do with it. I have free access to tons and tons of such "pits/stones" and would like to "give them a new life" and thought to use them as a "Hydroponic Medium" instead of just letting them thrown away.

I still have no idea how to use them as a "hypodronic Medium" nor if they would be at all useful at that task. If any of you respected "Hydroponicians" have any idea or a piece of advice about that or knows about any other way I could use these "pits/stones" ( even outside the hydroponic world), I would be endlessly indebted to you.
