When I was a kid, our neighbor had a bunch of raised beds filled with iris... We used to sneak into her yard because the flowers were so pretty...I wonder if I'm growing some of the same ones she did....

That is a lovely clump of Quaker Lady! I don't have too many historics, generally I prefer the newer ones. I do have a few I wouldn't be without though. My favorite is probably Blue Shimmer, such a huge flower.

I am so glad to see your Quaker Lady.. I grow her, but was recently at a iris garden that had QL...only problem theirs was growing at IB height ... every plant...They were a commercial garden so I would have thought theirs would def be the right one..which has made me question mine.
