Carbon filter Question

Hey All! I hope your spring pond setups are going well!

Anyway, I am working on a filter and plan to use activated carbon to get rid of some organic matter to help clean the water (had an issue with it last year) but will the carbon take away nutrients in the water that the plants need? thanks!

Interested too I recently added a carbon filter to my tap which refills my pond.. had nasty ammonia outbreak so was doing everything I could think of.. I know the filter removed the chlorine, ammonia and chlorimine and other metaliic metals.. hopefully it is ok for the pond.. interested to hear anyone elses opinion

I'm planning on putting a carbon filter on the refill pipe to my 1600 gallon koi pond. I'm thinking a $50 Culligan Man 4.5 x 10" container will do. The internet 'fish' shops seem to charge $80 for the same container? Amazon has Matrikx pb1 filters for about $12 vs the internet 'fish' store cost of $20. Has anyone tried the Culligan Man filters for their pond water?
