Not blue, not purple, one of my favorites. This is Dusky Challenger, a great iris, and very vigorous, but I thought I'd better get a photo of it before today's 96 degree heat turns it into toast, or mush, or toasted mush.

Blurple. Yes. I have quite a few of those- very beautiful and the color goes so beautifully with gold.
