First of all, the "mart" irises have a well-deserved reputation for being mislabeled, so don't hold your breath waiting for them to look like the package picture. Secondly, the Siberian rhizomes should have been wet-packed. If they were dry when you purchased them, they are most likely dead. Thirdly, both bearded and Siberian irises require full sun, though Sibs will appreciate some afternoon shade in hot summer climates. Neither iris type will bloom well, if at all, in full shade. Sibs start blooming with the late TBs and will generally continue after the beardeds are finished.

You almost certainly will not be seeing any bloom out of those irises this year, if, in fact, they survive at all. If the beardeds weren't completely dessicated, they'll probably hang in there, but Sibs are a lot touchier about how they're handled out of the ground.

I hope the packaging provided you with some planting instructions. Beardeds and Sibs are planted and cared for quite differently. Sibs should be planted 1-3" deep in soil that can be kept consistently moist throughout this first growing season. They should be watered frequently and mulched well to keep the soil cool and retain soil moisture.

Beardeds should be planted with the tops of the rhizomes level with or just slightly below the soil surface. They should be watered deeply immediately after planting, then not watered again until the soil dries out. Overwatering can rot bearded irises. Do not mulch bearded irises so that their surrounding soil can dry out.
