Even if the proposed nutrient solution were hyper-oxygenated (which I applaud you for thinking of) would soil still allow for sufficient aeration, so as to prevent widespread and prompt root rot (for whatever is being grown)? And could such a media be used without particulates gathering in and clogging your water pump?

Your proposal sounds like a drip system that is always on, but with non-hydroponic media. I'm thinking something like this might possibly work with a blend of mixed-sized coconut husk chips/coir, but conventional soil? hmmmm. good question.

Well, if the water was continuously flowing it probably wouldn't spend more than a couple minutes in the pot before it goes back into the tank to get oxygenated again. In a normal DWC system you can turn off the bubbles for a few hours without any ill effects.

I wouldn't think clogging would be much of a problem, think about how much soil comes out when you water your plants. I would think after a few hours of continuous flow all the dirt would come out that was going to. Maybe I'd have to put a peice of screen in the bottom of the pot or drill an extra drain hole or two.

Then again, I really have no idea what I'm talking about...
