This is one a friend traded me for my Dutch irises -- she likes those better, I prefer the beardeds, everybody's happy. They hadn't bloomed for her in the 2 years since she planted them and I didn't really expect blooms from them this year, but look!

The more I look at it the more it grows on me. The picture doesn't show the faint mauve-copper shading at the edges of the bottom petals (falls?). Near the base of the petals it has the same kind of almost zebra-stripe marking that Lent A Williamson does.

Any guesses as to who this could be?
