Iris Seed Head?

I have a Bearded Iris that has developed what looks like a seed head where there used to be a blossom. It is geen, six lobed, about the size of a lime, and sort of oval and hard.

What is it, what to do with it. Never seen anything like this before.

Anyone?

It is just that, a seed head. If it is empty, then it is called a "balloon". There are some posts on here on how to care for them and grow them.
Hope they can help.
Did you do a "cross" to get the seed heads or did they just happen?
When hybridizers do their crosses, they get those seeds and when they grow, they can see what comes of the cross. I would love to try that with some of mine.
Good luck.
