We live in Sudbury, Ontario, zone 3. As suggested by Ken Beattie on Get Growing (a Canadian call in show), we decided to pot some bulbs in containers and stored them in the basement in the dark. Well, they weren't suppose to start budding till probably around February. Well, guess what? I went downstairs to get something else and noticed that almost all the containers have something budding, i.e., muscaries, tulips, daffodils, and other things. I don't know what to do? Does that mean that I'll have to take them out of the dark and put them in light? Do I take them out and put them in plastic bags and freeze them? Or is this what's suppose to happen? I'm baffled. I thought this wasn't suppose to happen till February. I'm not disappointed and I'm just not sure what to do. HELP.
