From the book i have there is not much for pink either as far as iris. the closest to pink is Iridaceae is a beardless. But there is blue Tinkerbell. Never saw much for pinks or reds myself in iris

Lady Friend is one of my favorite pinks. You can view it from Schreiners website.
Schreiners also has hybridized some red varieties in the last couple of years. Checkout Spartan, Sultan's Palace, Vitafire, War Kink and Warrior King.

Some of the reds are pretty reddish. They are not like a Showbiz rose, but they are red in my garden. The pinks I have seen tend to be warm, but there are some irises with magenta in them, and some are orchid-pink. I like Lady Friend too, but in my garden it is a rosy color rather than shocking.

I'm more into pastel pinks but 'Ovation' is often cited as a strong pink.

I wouldn't call 'Persian Berry' a pink but it is a standout. More of an orchid bluey hot pink??

I would say as yet there is no true forget-me-not blue.

Lady Friend is a favorite of mine ~ the color of a garnet.

So all the reds are very pretty but I'm still seeking pink. 'Persian Berry' is the right idea...and may satisfy me for the time being!

There are no "shocking " pinks. and even the shell or light pinks are rather peachy.

I am pretty much addicted to blue/pink iris and have to hold myselfe back from buying all of htem. I allow myself one a year. Last year's "Forentine Silk" was so beautiful I almost got weepy over it and I am not the crying type. :)

As for a red, the most red iris I've seen is a Louisiana one that is brick red. There is no fire engine red or apple red.

How about Sheer Ecstasy? It's that hot pinky purple on the right.
