If you are using containers, you can purchase any good potting soil (many will say "for acid loving plants" on the label) and mix in a hand full of aluminum sulfate. Beware that if your water is limey, you may still have trouble making or keeping them blue......yg

I recently read about someone with alkaline water who acidifies his water with 1 cup vinegar to 5 gallons water. Has anyone tried with watering with a solution like this? And I wonder what the effect would be on young plants?
