Irises and Spider wort

I have an extremely well established rock garden (over 20 years old) that has become 'infested' with spider wort and it is killing off many of my irises. Any suggestions on how to eradicate the spider wort without killing off any more of my beautiful Siberian irises?

not a great deal of fun but it's the best & easiest & most effective & cheapest way.

I concur with Sylvia. Irises do not tolerate weed killers.
I'll bet it's a beautiful rock garden, other than the thuggish spiderwort.
