125 w CFL do not run too hot. still, from your pictures, may be just a little too close. give it 12' from the top of the seedlings.

Those are expensive bulbs. have you considered regular 48" fluorescent?

lol no i havnt torn anything down installing my light 12' high. i knew you meant 12". i have it about 12" over them and there doin fine. i have a few bush basil sprouts and lettuce up (in the picture) and i have
15 more germinating in my humidity dome along with 13 sweet basil and 12 spearmint.
