Hi :o)

I hope someone can help me out here. I have an iris that is actually blooming out of the ground. The stalk never reached max height, infact it never even got off the ground. Not to mention it is about 2 weeks behind it's fellow family members. Can anyone tell me what may have happened? I'm thinking about just pulling it out of the ground trimming it up and checking for borers.

Would my spraying for leaf spot or pests cause this?
