Sometimes those packages are accurate. Often not. It will probably be two years before bloom. The dried up rhizome has been out of the ground a few months. I would save the pkg. and receipt especially if the fan of leaves is totally withered/dried.

You can soak the rhizome overnight. I don't. I plant, with the top of rhiz. showing, and thoroughly soak the ground. Then no water for a month. This method was given to me by a grower/hybridizer. If in 3 months, no new growth has shown, or if the rhizome gets soft, return them.
