Beautifull hostas! The neat freak in me is just itching to go and cut off all those spent scapes though!

Janet

Picture one and three are my favorites!! What a wonderful collection. Keep posting more. We love it.

Your pictures are much appreciated Ken, as is your humor.
I've just been too busy adding to my wish list after viewing such great hostas, not to mention cleaning up the mess from slobbering over them. LOL!

Oh yeah right! Make me jealous and want to buy more!

So.... 5 acres, 1250 plus hostas....sandy soil and a very extensive irrigation system

where do you draw your water from? I guess you aren't on a meter like me

I am an outed lurker but very much appreciate the pictures and postings of you and all the others here

Puck, that was something I was pondering about last night when I first looked at all of Ken's pictures. I have a well system and can't imagine our pump cranking all the time it would need to with the extensive network of irrigation I see in the photos.

So Ken, what do you use? A well system or city water? If it's a well how deep and what kind of monster pump do you have?

on a well ...

50 odd feet ....

no idea what is down in the hole.. guess 1 to 1.5 horse ...

each zone only takes 8 pounds of pressure ...

the idea is that the bladder tank opens ... and stays open ....

the water is straight from the well ... both outside spigots do not get softened ...

ken

doesn't softening put a lot of sodium into the water?

Does the A in A bed stand for : Absolutely Beautiful? (okay, corny I know, but it's what immediately came to mind.) If so , then it's well named. Love it.

the salt in the softener.. is only used to back flush the membrane .... and throughly rinsed down the drain during the cycle...

otherwise i would be dead from hypertension .. lol

regardless.. why pay for the cycling.. for water that is going out of doors... ken

Wonderful. Thanks for the pictures. Wish I had that much room. Better for my pocketbook that I don't.

Very impressive Ken! Thanks for sharing ... Wayne

What is the blue hosta to center right in Picture 3?
